About Centauri Media

Centauri Media is a creative and technical agency in Birmingham with two arms: a marketing side (influencer and UGC campaigns, social content, brand and print design) and a software solutions side (websites, mobile apps, AI automation and CRM builds). Behind the marketing sits a roster of creators and actors, and the agency runs its own community events, jobs board and news feed.

Objectives

  • Sell both sides of the agency, marketing and software, from one site rather than two disconnected ones.
  • Show the work: case studies and results, plus the talent roster behind the campaigns.
  • Turn interest into booked calls, not form fills that sit in an inbox.
  • Let the team publish case studies, news, events and roles themselves, with no developer in the loop.
  • Make a first impression that matches the quality the agency sells.

The Challenge

Centauri does two very different things, creative campaigns and software builds, and carries a talent roster, community events, a jobs board and a news feed on top. One brochure site could not hold all of that, and a static one would fall out of date the moment the team shipped something new. The site had to sell both arms at once and stay current without a developer editing code every time the work changed.

The Approach

The key decision was to build the site as a thin, fast front-end over the agency's own system, not as a separate CMS to maintain. A standalone content system would have been a second source of truth, one more place to keep in sync and let drift. Because the case studies, news, events and roles already live in the agency's back-office, the site reads them directly, so publishing happens where the team already works and the public site is never the stale copy.

The Solution

The site is organised around the two arms, a marketing side and a solutions side, each with its own services and case studies, alongside a talent roster, packages and a booking flow, plus community events, a news feed, a careers board and resources. The content that changes is published from the agency's own back-office and rendered live, and a short guided booking flow turns a visitor into a qualified, booked call.

Built with Vite and React, with a 3D constellation on the homepage where each star opens a case study, and motion throughout for a brand-grade feel. The content that changes, case studies, news, events and roles, is read live from the agency's own back-office, so the team publishes and the site updates with no deploy. Booking is a short guided flow that asks what a visitor needs and routes them to a call, and the site is served from the edge.

TWO ARMS, ONE STOREFRONT

One site for a two-sided agency

Centauri does two very different things, creative campaigns and software builds, plus the talent roster behind the marketing. The site gives each its own space, a marketing arm and a solutions arm with their own services and work, without splitting into two disconnected sites, so a visitor who came for one often leaves knowing about the other.

  • Separate marketing and solutions arms under one brand
  • The creators and actors behind the campaigns
  • Packages, community events, news and a careers board

PUBLISH, NOT DEPLOY

Content the team publishes, not a developer

The parts that change, case studies, news, events and open roles, are managed in the agency's own back-office and read live by the site. The team publishes where it already works, so the public site is current the moment something ships, with no deploy and no second content system to keep in sync.

  • Case studies, news, events and jobs, all team-editable
  • No separate CMS to maintain
  • Live the moment it is published
The trade

Reading content live from the agency's own system means there is no second copy to fall out of date, but the site's content is only ever as available as that system, and a change to how content is shaped there has to stay compatible with the site. The upside is one place to publish and a site that is never stale; the cost is that the two are no longer fully independent.

BOOKED, NOT JUST BROWSED

Turning interest into a booked call

Every path through the site points at one action: booking a call. Instead of a bare contact form, a short guided flow asks what the visitor needs help with first and routes them from there, so a moment of interest turns into a qualified, booked call rather than a message waiting in an inbox.

Conclusion

The website is the public front of the agency and the storefront for both its arms, and because everything that changes comes from the system the team already runs on, it stays current without anyone touching code. A visitor sees the latest work, the next event, and one clear way to book a call.
